It signifies Hi-Time for Skiing and things Winter Sports amidst NH's Franconia Notch State Park and the greater & surrounding White Mountain National Forest. Cannon Mountain Ski Area is now in full swing with snow conditions like rarely seen in season's past. Their renewed dedication to snow making & grooming is TRULY remarkable. Even with all the rain and 40+ degrees days in the week past snow surfaces across the mountain are NOT icy! Machine Groomed, Packed Powder primary with Loose Granular secondary tells the story.
As for the woods set, ice climbing conditions are prime with plenty of places to "pick you way" along, while all the areas cross-country centers are also open and ready to go. Snowmobile trails are now being groomed regularly, the lakes and ponds have frozen and it's time to Ride NH!
